In-Reach Current Visitation Network

In-Reach is currently working, whether directly or indirectly, in prisons in New Jersey, California, Minnesota, Washington, and Indiana in the US, in British Columbia in Canada, and Wales in the UK.

We welcome more folks to get involved, and donations to The Troth's In-Reach Heathen Prison Services Fund or Prison Literature Fund are always welcomed, as are donations to Distelfink Sippschaft's In-Reach work. All are tax deductible.

Donations to Distelfink Sippschaft may be done online via PayPal by visiting www.urglaawe.net.

Donations to The Troth are most easily done by check, if you are joining the organization online, as part of your membership dues. When paying via PayPal, please include a note to seller (a field down on the bottom of the window prior to submitting payment) to direct $5.00 of your dues to the In-Reach Heathen Prison Services Fund or the Prison Literature Fund.

Donation checks may be mailed to either organization at the same address:

In-Reach Heathen Prison Service
PO Box 2131
Bristol, PA 19007

Thank you very much!

In-Reach Updates

Hail!

In-Reach volunteers have been busy catching up on the many requests that have come in for correspondence or information. The Facebook group is our primary conversation point, and we always welcome more volunteers.

In addition to The Troth's In-Reach Heathen Prison Services and Distelfink's Mental Heath Facility Services, we are looking at creating an In-Reach Heathen Visitation Services program to visit Heathens who are homebound, hospitalized, or otherwise unable to interface with their communities due to medical or health issues.

In-Reach will be using The Troth's email address going forward: inreach@thetroth.org

The next dropoff point is Krampuslauf Philadelphia, Saturday, December 13, 2014, in Liberty Lands Park in Philadelphia, PA.

Response to the Overland Park, KS, Accused Shooter's Religion

News media outlets are reporting that the accused shooter in Overland Park was an adherent of Odinism

We abhor the appropriation of any Heathen identity for racist and bigoted agendas. We reject e the abuse of our religion as a justification for hateful and abominable actions. We condemn the violence and hatred that are at the root of this story.

Let us all hail the victims and remember their names:

Terri LaManno
William Lewis Corporon
Reat Griffin Underwood

Our thoughts and prayers go out to the families and friends of the victims of this unconscionable act.

Prison Visitation Needs

In-Reach is seeking chaplains qualified to support Heathen inmates in many facilities. Over the course of the next few days, we will be updating the list of facilities where we're seeing a significant need. We now also have female inmates in need of Heathen information and spiritual interaction.

We have been fortunate enough to be able to provide services, whether as an organization ourselves or through allied and associate organizations, to some facilities where we had a pressing need. We would like to continue to see this success.

Our largest volumes of requests currently are coming from the Lake Erie Correctional Institution in Conneaut, OH, the State Correctional Institution in Somerset, PA, the Lawrence Correctional Center in Sumner, IL, and the California Correctional Institution in Tehachapi, CA.

The chaplains at the Lake Erie Correctional Institution have been in contact with In-Reach and are actively seeking assistance. We have previously sent one book to the facility and will be sending more in our next book mailing.

Hail!
